Join Our Rookie Flag Football League – Where Fun Meets Competition!

Looking for a new way to stay active, challenge yourself, and have a blast with friends? Our Rookie Flag Football League is the perfect place to experience the excitement of flag football in a fun, inclusive, and beginner-friendly setting.

Our leagues take place on the 4G pitches in UCD, and runs for 9 weeks. You'll get assigned a kick-off time every week, and join a team for a weekly game. At first we'll focus on getting everyone up to speed and learning how to play this exciting game.

The games will start from 8pm, and your slot will be advertised to you well in advance. If you join up with a group of friends, no problem - we'll make sure you're all on the same team.

Flag football is played 5-a-side and involves a lot of running. We're playing single-sex flag football, as we feel it's the best environment to let everyone thrive.

Whether you're an experienced athlete or completely new to the game, this league welcomes all skill levels—so don’t worry if you’ve never played before!

No team? No problem! Sign up solo, with a friend, or bring a full squad—whatever works for you. We’ll make sure you’re placed in a team so you can hit the field with confidence.
Learn as you go! The first few weeks will help you get up to speed with the rules of the game, essential skills, and gameplay strategies to ensure everyone enjoys the experience.
All equipment provided—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!

📅 Game Format:

Each match consists of two 20-minute halves, with built-in breaks at halftime, time-outs, and potential overtimefor those nail-biting finishes!
Games kick off from 18:45 onwards, with matches running throughout the evening.
